November 2015 was a big month for Miguel, as well as the rest of 2015.
In the beginning of November, Miguel shaved his beard for the first time in 4 years. Miguel joined the cast of Ben Affleck's film, 'Live By Night,' and had film shooting take place, playing the role of Esteban. His beard has filled back in already. The film is slated to release in 2017, so I'm sure there is going to be more periods of Miguel being 'clean shaven.'
In August 2015, Miguel was chosen as the VH1 You Oughta Know artist of the month. On November 12th, Miguel and the other VH1 YOK artists of the monthly artists took the stage in NYC to perform and see who won the award. Miguel didn't win, but he is clearly the best one out of all the nominees, and isn't a recently discovered artist, but I'm still glad he was the artist of the month because he's hot and he deserves all the recognition in the world because he's so perfect. The crowd cheered the most for him because he's hot and has more than 5 songs. "Waves" was the most energetic performance of the night by far, as expected from Miguel.
One week later, Miguel took the stage in LA with other artists for an A&E benefit concert, Shining A Light: A Concert For Progress On Race In America. Miguel knows how it feels to be the 'odd one out' in life, he grew up in an area separated by two dominant races, both of which he's made up of, yet he didn't feel like he belonged to any of them. The purpose of the benefit was to demonstrate that race isn't a problem in America, but many people choose to make it one. Miguel performed En Vogue's "Free Your Mind" alongside with Tori Kelly. Again, achieved by Miguel, this was the best performance of the night.
There are 31 days left of 2015, and I know Miguel will grasp each day in his hand and claim it his.
can't wait for December
